The Tiger doesn't want any socks knit for him and I was hesitant to knit Nephew Sam any because of that. Perhaps "cool" kids don't want handknit socks? So while on vacation I asked Sam if he’d wear handknit socks if I made him some. He got a big smile on his face and gave me a nod. We made a template of his foot so I’d know size then we talked color… he had no preference, so the first pair he gets is a bright orange pair! Later when I told his mom about our conversation she told me he’d been wondering why he hadn’t gotten any when the rest of his family received them for Christmas and Birthdays.
