I belong to a group who make socks every month. Every month there is a different theme. This month the theme was "cables." I have knit so many socks I think I could knit the basic pattern in my sleep so I decided to make this sock a bit challenge. I pulled out my Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G. Walker and began to look at various stitch patterns. I used a double and mock cable out of the book, wrote out the pattern and went to work.
