A warm shalanket for cold winter night

Earlier this winter I attempted to knit a large shawl to keep me warm during the cold, cold winter evenings. It was  a nice shawl but just not as big as I wanted it ti be. Then earlier this June I spent several cold rainy days chilled, so I decided to knit a REALLY big shawl and wanted to see just what the mandala yarn would do on this ripple pattern.  It is a beauty but 3 skeins of yarn in a shawl is a lot!
Pattern: Revontuli-huivi (Northern Lights) by AnneM
Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala
Colorway: Chimera
Needle size: US Size 8

The finished project is nice but I must remember how the acrylic rolls at the edge. I bought some very pretty wooden beads to try to weigh it down on the edges.
