I'm trying to consolidate my genealogy information into one area of the house and specifically into a four drawer file cabinet. Slowly I'm going through papers. Not an easy task because I'd rather be on Ancestry winding my way through family trees looking for connecting branches of the family. I haven't looked at the Hedges/Jamison Family Bible for many years. It's so fragile, that many years ago I copied the family information and carefully put it back in its place. I came across the copies this week and while looking at them I saw a name whose place in the family I'd never been able to discover: Who was this Mary Shoemaker? I asked myself.
